After seeing this post on almond butter, I was determined to make some that afternoon. However, my almond stash wasn't as large as I thought it was and so I threw in some peanuts too...[that I bought last week out of the dry roasted bin only to come home and find that they were just plain 'ol peanuts with not even an ounce of flavor, ick]. Also however, I just checked the recipe again and realized that I didn't roast my almonds like it says to do in the first step...so I think I'll try this one again with a) an adequate amount of almonds and b) by following the actual recipe! However for the third time, I'm liking this idea and think I will become a permanent almond/peanut butter maker. No more store bought when it's this easy.
